Emeka Jerry Esogbue or simply Emeka Esogbue, also fondly called “Pen Master” by his admirers is a Nigerian Journalist, practicing Historian, and Writer who hails from Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Emeka Esogbue is a professional historian who attended State Primary School, Festac Town, Lagos, and later Agboju Secondary School, Agboju, Lagos. He then obtained his B. A. (Hons) in History and International Studies from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, and later M. A. in History and Diplomacy from the same institution. He has written several articles and conducted research, many of which are centered on the Anioma people of Delta State being a foremost advocate of Anioma.
He is currently the Research Editor of Anioma Essence Magazine, a publication of the Organization For the Advancement of Anioma Culture.
Emeka Esogbue is the founder of Igbuzo Singles Meet Worldwide which promotes Igbuzo-to-Igbuzo marriage. He is also the founder of Anioma Watch and Co-founder of Ndi Anioma of Nigeria. He is the initiator of the Guild of Ibusa Writers and Authors (GIWA) Esogbue is a member of the Organization For the Advancement of Anioma Culture (OFAAC), the cultural umbrella of the Anioma people. He became a member of the Board of Directors of Umu Anioma Foundation Worldwide and also the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Foundation before his resignation.
