Involve Foreign Investors in your Sales of Land, Man Advises Land Grabbers in Ibusa Community
– Emeka Esogbue
A man identified as Henry Oluchukwu Nwajei has advised land grabbers in Ibusa to ensure that foreign investors are invited to create investments in the community.
Henry was reacting to an ongoing heated arguments on Ndigbuzo, an Ibusa indigenous WhatsApp platform on Thursday over indiscriminate sales of land in the community.
Nwajei wrote in pidgin English:
“Abeg make Una no vex ooo wetin I dey try talk be said as we dey sell all these lands let’s invite some foreigners (sic) partner with them let them build factories for us here even if na factory wey dey produce spoon at least with that e go provide jobs for the youths in igbuzo and it’s environs even for our children to come and crime will be reduced, because future dey ooo that’s my own contribution my fellow igbuzoians. Ututu oma.”
Critics continue to condemn indiscriminate sales of land without the involvement of town planners to occasion conscious designs in the community. Indiscriminate sales of land and buildings scattered all over the vicinity without accompanying social amenities is no development, they argue.
Crime and unemployment have also peaked among the active youths of the community where education was once the pride and Henry Nwajei, an indigene of the community from Umueze believes that the presence of factories and other means of employment rather than the springing up of beautiful houses everywhere will help to ameliorate crime and also provide employment for the people.
Ibusa is a community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State with successful businessmen and women residing in different parts of the world.
