
ANIOMA SON, PROF EMERITUS AUGUSTINE ESOGBUE RECEIVES AWARD IN AMERICA

The world continues to appreciate the legacy and heritage of the Anioma people of Delta State with the recent bestowment of the Lifetime Achievement Award otherwise known as “The D’CEM Awards” on Prof Emeritus Augustine Onwuyali Esogbue in far-away, Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States of America.
Prof Emeritus Augustine Esogbue, at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA, was on Saturday honoured in an award ceremony facilitated by Dr. Debby Goodnews Silas who is popular for his foundation and publication of Debby Classique Entertainment Magazine.
Ojo Samson Ayomide who reported the event as successfully organized stated, “Distinguished African, American, and Caribbean celebrities, some of whom are icons of the entertainment industry, captains of industries, philanthropists, and humanitarians, are frequently in attendance and recipients of the D’CEM Awards.”
“For 14 years now, the D’CEM Awards has served as a platform of recognition for individuals who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.”
Prof Emeritus Augustine Esogbue, NNOM, a USA-based Systems Engineering expert is renowned for being the only African on the Board of the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA). He is also the founding Chairman of the Lagos Atlanta Sister City Committee.
On Friday, July 14, 2023, Esogbue was visible in Ibusa, his hometown where he made a philanthropic donation of 30 cartons containing over 1,000 books to the Delta State Library, Ibusa.
As the Anioma people continue to receive recognition around the world, HRM Obi Dr Martha Dunkwu, the Omu of Anioma is also scheduled to receive a United Nations-related “Africans in Diaspora Living Legends Award” in Germany in the coming days where the Anioma light will be beamed to the global cultural space.
Prof Emeritus Augustine Onwuyali Esogbue hails from Ibusa in Oshimili Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, and is a foremost philanthropist to the community and around the world.
