Inaugural Diokpa Umuekea Ceremony: Nweke Family Announces Date for Event

The Nweke family of Isieke in Ibusa has disclosed the readiness of the family patriarch, Obi (Eze) Adigwe Blacky Nweke to receive the Umuekea wider family as the Diokpa of the Quarter.
Umuekea is one of the ten villages that make up Ibusa, a community located in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Obi Nweke, one of the respected nobilities in the community is expected to take custodianship of the people’s ‘ofo’ as the new Diokpa of Umuekea.
The family, in an announcement issued to the public by Patrick Obi Nweke, also stated that the event will hold on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the popular Isieke High Street Nweke Family Home, in Ibusa with the Obuzo of Ibusa, Obi Prof Louis Nwaoboshi as the Guest of Honour.
Over time, Obi Adigwe Blacky Nweke has contributed to the sociocultural development of the community, helping Ibusa to sail smoothly.
The family has also unveiled a complete agenda for the event to richly mark the occasion which will also be fully covered by the media.
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, the immediate past Senator who represented the Delta North at the Nigerian Senate, Technocrime Securities Chief, Chief Tony Azuya, Prof Fidelis Oditah, QC, SAN, Dr. Felicia Adun, Prof Osy Osadebe are some of the high profile Ibusa personalities from Umuekea Quarters, among several others.
