It is another day of glory for the people of Anioma as teacher, linguist, and philanthropist, Dr. Veronica Ufoegbune receives the PEACE AWARD presented by the Center for Africa Peace and Conflict Resolution (CAPCR) at California State University, Sacramento, California.
Hardworking Dr. Ufoegbune who is the Chairperson of the Nigerian-American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC) is receiving the honour according to a publication made in Anioma Trust Newspaper, in recognition of her exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions in coalition building, especially in and among the Africa Diaspora communities and groups, as well as a demonstrable commitment to social justice
In 2022, Dr. Veronica Ufoegbune, an illustrious daughter of Issele-Uku with an institution for the preservation of the Enuani dialect, sponsored the Nwada Anioma Cultural Beauty Pageant which took place in Asaba, Delta State, and Pen Master was live at the event to support the organizers and the girls.
